Carol L. McKinney has endured some very painful moments in her life but by the grace of God, she was able to overcome them. Moved to share her story, she decided to release a memoir describing her experiences and the lessons she learned. She invites readers to join her in a journey from "Tragedy to Triumph" (published by Xlibris).

McKinney was diagnosed with Type I Insulin-dependent Diabetes at age 13. She became visually disabled, orphaned and a mother at 25 years old. It was only through the Almighty that she was able to emerge strong and victorious. "Tragedy to Triumph" is an account of her life and her works of art. It is a personal testimony of faith and determination. Above all, it is her way of reaching out to others, an invitation for them to find and experience God's love and power in their own lives.

"We all experience tragedies, illness, sorrows and uncertainties," McKinney says. "This memoir encourages readers to pray for God's grace and help to run the race of life with courage and hope. The watercolors are an inspiration to others, especially those with disabilities."

"Tragedy to Triumph" is a chronicle of a life-changing journey and it is a shining testament of the power of faith. Readers going through tough times will be inspired by this true story.
