In her new storybook, "A Trip to the Country: Nature in Rhyme" (published by AuthorHouse), Elizabeth Eugenia I. Kapp encourages children to learn about nature. A heady mix of vibrant illustrations and a catchy rhyming narrative, this is a treasure trove of insights on the wonderful workings of nature and science from rain to the pull of gravity.

"A Trip To The Country" is designed to help children, and even adults, learn about the natural world. It answers questions children might ask, such as "What makes rain, wind, thunder, and lightning?" The book includes big words with appropriate definitions, such as "gravity" and "centrifugal." The story which ties the poems together is of two children, a brother and sister, and their encounters with nature as they travel with their parents to visit their sick grandmother. Many of the experiences depicted are inspired by events in the author's own childhood.

A rollicking good time awaits readers when they go on "A Trip to the Country." Kapp has created a shining testament to how imaginative stories can be used not just for entertainment but for educational purposes.
