Over the course of his 20-year career in project management, author Michael J. Bettigole witnessed a number of both traditional and unconventional project managers succeed. He noticed the linking factor between the two types of managers was the use of certain universal truths that led to workplace success.

Bettigole began studying these truths and the patterns of success and failures in the work place. He compiles his findings, as well as his own advice for project managers, in his new book, "A Pocket Guide for Project Managers: Maximize People, Process, and Tools" (published by iUniverse). The book is preparing for a giveaway to be carried out through Goodreads.com, the social media platform for readers everywhere.

Written in clear, assessable language, "A Pocket Guide for Project Managers" guides readers as they learn how to efficiently communicate, hold team members accountable for their actions and provide assistance for fixing problems. Bettigole also outlines several project management styles so readers can choose one that is right for them.

Interested readers can enter at Goodreads to win a free copy of "A Pocket Guide for Project Managers." The campaign, which will be launched in the coming months, will last for 30 days, and all Goodreads members are eligible to enter.
