Medford, Mass.

As the oldest of his siblings, author Marcus Bruce often told his brothers original bedtime stories at night to help them fall asleep. In his new book, "The Amazing Adventures of Jimmy Jumperjoy" (published by AuthorHouse), Bruce expands on his favorite story of a young boy with an appetite for adventure.

Set in the 1980s, "The Amazing Adventures of Jimmy Jumperjoy" follows a friendly boy named Jimmy. An only child in a poor family, Jimmy depends on his best pals, Joey and Jilly Applejelly. He has fantastic adventures in and out of his hometown of Artsville.

One day, Jimmy finds a crystal ball with a magical genie living inside. Now whenever Jimmy wants something, all he has to do is ask his new friend. What kinds of wonderful adventures will young Jimmy have?

Whimsical and engaging, "The Amazing Adventures of Jimmy Jumperjoy" weaves together a blend of reality, fantasy and science fiction. Bruce hopes his stories spark the imaginations of his readers.
