As a former theological student who has spent a lot of time reading the scriptures, author Lloyd Stewart came to a realization that the story of Jesus in the New Testament must just be the "tip of the iceberg" and there must be so many untold stories. "My Friend Jesus" (published by Xlibris AU) is the result of his endeavor to bring to light many more untold stories of tragedy and triumph hidden within the New Testament.

Based on a literal interpretation of the scriptures, this book is a fictional account of the life, ministry and friends of Jesus Christ. "My Friend Jesus" is the untold story of Jesus Christ and his ministry with the help of a "shadowy mate" in the background. Jesse is the one who manages Jesus, organises his life and itinerary, deals with politicians and thwarts his enemies. Readers follow his and Jesus' adventures filled with miracle and murder, exposing new truths from the written Word.

"This controversial fiction account is as much about the cohorts of Jesus, as it is about his life and teachings," Stewart says, "The story comments not just on Jesus' remarkable ministry but also on the panorama of human activity, saints and sinners are all here."

The author further believes that scriptural truths are still at the core of much of human society, and the stories within his book will provide both understanding and excitement to readers eager to learn more about the Scriptures.
