Lillian Longendorfer, a wife, mother, physician, and artist, has completed her first book "The Quad Consortium and the Sword of Bale": is an adventurous journey that follows an intriguing young man on his quest to discover his true path in life.

On how she would describe the book, its message, and its characters, author Lillian Longendorfer said, "It is a story that takes place in an imaginary solar system at the outer edge of the Milky Way. It is about a man trying to forget his past, but who, when his world and friends are threatened by his nemesis, finds the courage to face his past and try to save the solar system and his friends. It is a story of courage over fear and of good over evil."

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Lillian Longendorfer's poignant tale is the story of one man's search for truth amidst enshrouding darkness. The author's words transcend the physical plane and reside in a realm of pure creation melded from the intelligence and soul of a powerful writer.

Dr. Stan Mercer, a geologist, thought he had escaped from his past and found a perfect place on Bale-the coldest and most distant from the sun and one of the four planets of the Quad Consortium of Planets. Bale's harsh environment, the rugged outdoor life, and the sparse primitive native population were what he loved most. But, when Nathan Taylor was elected president of the Grand Council, the governing body of the Quad Consortium, things changed. Nathan Taylor believed that the minerals found on Bale suggested that a powerful energy source existed there-for him that meant money and power.

Fleeing from murder attempts, Stan found his love interest in the presence of Dr. Elsa Longley, who was sent to Bale as Professor Anthony Eldon's assistant. Stan knew the real Nathan Taylor. He knew Nathan to be a dangerous man who wanted to be the sole "Supreme Ruler" of the Quad Consortium. Stan determined that he had to arouse the population and stop Nathan from creating a welfare state dependent on the government, dependent on him. Stopping Nathan means facing his past.

Readers who wish to experience this mesmerizing work can purchase "The Quad Consortium and the Sword of Bale" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
