Author Kathy Rice discovered her passion for writing early in life. One day, she sat down at her computer and started telling her story. Her moving memoir, "Kathy Run" (published by Xlibris), brings back nostalgic memories for those who grew up in the 50s and 60s and a glimpse of simpler times for younger readers.

This book is the heartwarming story of a little girl who grew up in the post WWII era, within the cuddle and security of family and community. It is a nostalgic tale of a time gone by that lets readers relive the lives and memories of the past. Growing up in a prairie home in Northeastern Montana near Four Buttes, Kathy experienced exciting times of calving, planting, harvesting and trips to town. She takes readers with her as she revisits her past, painting a vivid picture of her childhood - growing up in the farm, attending a one-room school and enjoying her protected life in the 60s. She also reminisces the moments she shared with her best friends, Kristi and later Patrice.

"The family and the family farm was the foundation of our society. So much of that has been lost - the togetherness and love we had as a family and community is second to none. As with any story, the reader can immerse themselves in the life Kathy lives - and it's a reminder that we all have a story," she says.

Engaging and uplifting, "Kathy Run" lets readers discover beautiful adventures and heartwarming experiences that make up the thing called life, letting them embrace every moment with its twists and turns and ups and downs.
