Jason Johnson has completed his new book "I Sure Hope This Book Gets Me Laid: The Zenith News Essays Vol. 2": a witty and reflective series of essays that provide thoughtful cultural critique, while not being too serious for fart jokes.

Jason Johnson was born in Djibouti (then French Somaliland) in 1942 to itinerant urine farmers and raised to be a warrior king. Showing no predilection toward sex or wishing to procreate, the young Johnson became a writer instead, impressing his professors at the University of Minnesota-Duluth with his ability to sign a check.

In 2007, he was lured away by a piece of cheese on a stick to what was then called the "Zenith City Weekly", later the "Zenith City Momentarily", later still the "Fornicating Times Hypocrite" (UK), which is now Zenith News. In 2014-16, he briefly served as the Zenith's assistant editor until his ignominious resignation, prompted by his myriad sex scandals involving nonconsenting alpacas.

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Jason Johnson's uproarious essays provide diverting commentary on many different facets of our contemporary sociopolitical climate all of the hypocrisy that abounds within it.

This new collection of Jason Johnson's satirical essays includes "Your Baby Is Ugly," "Profiles in Douchery," "Lies, Damn Lies, and Fake Boobies," "The NRA Is Full of Spit," "Just Being Insane Doesn't Make You a Libertarian," and the truly magical "69 Is a Magic Number." Johnson targets a wide range of American embarrassments, including Hollywood ("Let Jason Pick the Oscars!"), corporate greed ("Shove Massey up His Assey"), his Christmas dinner with former House Speaker John Boehner ("My Republican Holiday"), and of course, farts. Many of these essays appear here unexpurgated for the first time, with nary a fart joke cut for the sake of space, taste, or quality.

Readers who wish to experience this irreverent work can purchase"I Sure Hope This Book Gets Me Laid: The Zenith News Essays Vol. 2" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
