Author Jane E. Niebch carefully pens an enthralling rescue story about a nine-year-old girl named Jenna who goes swimming off Peanut Island in South Florida.

Jenna is a good swimmer who is trying out her new mask and snorkel gear in a lagoon. One of the features of this area is a tiny sunken treasure ship. The lagoon is normally a very safe place to have fun exploring tropical fish close to shore.

Jenna is a short way from the Palm Beach Inlet where many pleasure boats pass by. The tide is high when Jenna starts her swimming and diving adventure. While she is out swimming, the weather conditions change unexpectedly. She finds herself in an outgoing tide during a sudden thunderstorm. She cannot get back to shore and is tossed around in the open channel. A dolphin rescues her by swimming beneath her, lifting Jenna out of the choppy waters. A Coast Guard boat, with Jenna's mother onboard, reaches Jenna and brings her to safety. The dolphin is the hero of the story. Jenna remains excited about her adventure and can't wait to go snorkeling again.

Brimming with life lessons and pure human emotions, Rescue Off Peanut Island is a loveable tale that children and children at heart will definitely enjoy. This book highlights the importance of kids becoming confident by learning new things and engaging in exciting adventures.
