LARKHALL, Scotland - What if everything one believes to be nonexistent turns out to be real? What if, in the most hopeless of situations, only their faith in each other could salvage them from the demise of a cataclysmic disaster? In "Hope Found" (published by Xlibris UK), author Jackie McMillan unifies the oft-explored vampire classic with an end-of-the-world drama and suspense to create a dark fantasy novel that explores the stark contrast between the real and the imagined.

Vampires? Shifters? Saviour of a race? Jenna McCloud certainly did not think so. Things like that do not exist in real life; or she thought so. When she meets Alexandru Valek, a vampire mourning the death of his father, everything she believed breaks down to pieces. In the same way, Valek finds out that something he had thought was a myth is real. His father had uncovered the details of the prophecy that most thought was a story to give them hope in the dark days. Jenna was the key to this fulfillment of this and that if they were all to survive on earth, they had to work together to save themselves. Will these two worlds - which have existed too long as independent of one another - be able to work together? Taking the risk is all the option they had; now, it boils down to a question of who or whether to trust.

Graphic, fast-paced and captivating "Hope Found" takes readers to a survival saga of rocketing suspense. Besides its entertainment value, the story depicts the basic human need for acceptance in a society that too often castigates those outside the norm. It also probes the issue of diversity and the need to respect each other's uniqueness, if humanity is to flourish, together, in harmony and peace.
