Introducing New Book: KISS WHAT?
"Christians, they're the most Satanic of all! Each age has to have at least one brave individual to bring an end to Christianity, which no one has managed to succeed at yet, but maybe through music, we can finally do it." This statement comes from the lips of shock rocker Marilyn Manson interviewed all the way back in the July 1996 issue of Metal Magazine. Can music really bring an end to Christianity?
Former rock star Nick Costello reveals, "In 20 years speaking to youth, I have personally had conversations with teenagers who no longer listen to Christian music. Their music listening includes ungodly, unwholesome, secular music which can negatively influences their attitudes, behaviors, beliefs and lifestyles. Their music has become their evangelist or preacher, teaching them values completely contradictory to what they read in their Bibles."
Music is a powerful communication tool. What it's communicating to our teenagers and how to teach them to make wise and godly music listening choices is a very relevant concern facing parents and youth leaders today!
KISS WHAT? provides much needed help for any parent, youth leader, educator who wants to help their Christian teenager make music listening choices that please God and nourish their spirit and soul.
Christianity has survived all through history. Can music bring an end to it? Nick states, "Music will never bring an end to Christianity, but music with evil and ungodly messages that teenagers buy into can lure them away from the godly values they've learned and ultimately distract them away from following God. Their Christianity becomes lifeless."
Nick speaks from personal experience having spent over 25 years in the rock music industry. he attained his dream of becoming a rock star. On a crash course with death, he surrendered his life to Christ and received a new start in life. He now ministers as an evangelist and youth communicator throughout North America, telling his life story and helping teenagers follow Christ.
