Gilbert Gbedawo Announces STEPS TOWARDS EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE

As a teacher, author Gilbert Gbedawo wanted to see his students excel both academically and later in life. He was inspired to write "Steps Towards Educational Excellence-The Role of Parents, Students and Supplementary Schools" (published by Xlibris UK) after completing his research into the problem of underachievement especially among ethnic minorities.

This book identifies the main reasons for persistent underachievement among students in general and ethnic minorities in the United Kingdom in particular. It explores the importance of education and schooling to the well-being of individuals and communities. It also outlines the strategies that parents, students and schools need to put in place to guarantee educational excellence and success for all students including minorities.

About the Author
Gilbert Gbedawo holds a bachelor of education in science from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He has a Qualified Teacher Status awarded by the General Teaching Council of England and a Master of Arts in education and international development from the Institute of Education, UCL in the United Kingdom. He serves as a deacon in Kingsway International Christian Center, a church committed to raising champions and breaking educational barriers. He won the Outstanding Worker of the Year Awards in 2011 and 2014. He is married to Felicia and is the father of three children, Prince, Isabella and Gabriella.
