Dr. Paul Ekman, Professor Emeritus in Psychology at UCSF, is the co-discoverer of micro expressions, the originator of Micro and Subtle Expressions Training Tools (METT and SETT), and the author, co-author, or editor of fourteen books. He is recognized as a pioneer in facial expression, deception, and emotion. Dr. Ekman has authored more than 100 published articles, holds several honorary doctoral degrees, was named in Time Magazine's 2009 list of "100 Most Influential People in the World". Dr. Ekman's current work emerges from his close relationship with the Dalai Lama and has resulted in a focus on emotional awareness and global compassion.
