Actor Josh Grisetti (New York, NY) writes his first book, a spirituality memoir, entitled "God In My Head: The true story of an ex-Christian who accidentally met God" (March 1, 2016).

Having grown-up in a conservative Southern Baptist Church (in rural Roanoke, VA), Grisetti's irreverent memoir chronicles the author's early childhood experiences with religion and dentistry, explaining both how he lost his faith and how he developed a serious dental-phobia that culminated, years later, in a prescription drug overdose in a Manhattan dentist office. The abusive combination of multiple prescription drugs led to a "massive hallucination" in which Grisetti appeared to meet God himself. The first thing God said: "Stop telling people I don't exist."

From there, the Almighty took the 26-year-old on the psychological/spiritual ride of a lifetime. The two spent what the author estimates as "over 150 years" discussing the mysteries of the Universe, the meaning of life, the true story of Christ's life on earth, the ultimate truth about the afterlife, and more.

Grisetti chronicles his journey with blunt comic undertones, undercutting the lofty gravitas typically associated with the "heaven tourism" genre (including best-sellers like "Heaven is for Real" and "Proof of Heaven"). While making no claims whatsoever regarding "proof" of God, heaven or any particular theological truth, this true story is an entertaining and thought-provoking journey into the psychology of religion and the existence of God.

"God In My Head" is now available through Amazon.com and Kindle ebooks. The book will be made available across all digital platforms in the Summer of 2016.

Grisetti is available for interviews, book presentations, media appearances and/or book-signings.
