Author Darlene Farrace-Prott shares her fascinating family tradition that will motivate readers to forge closer family ties, strengthen relationships and realize the true meaning of life with her publication, "The Gift" (published by Xlibris). She hopes this valuable keepsake encourages them to take a few simple moments to slow down and appreciate the gifts already right in front of them.

For Farrace-Prott, family traditions are important part of creating memories. Those memories are gifts that should be cherished. She started a tradition with her family when they sit around the kitchen to eat. They go around the table, one at a time, sharing one special positive moment of their day. It gives them some time to listen to one another, share and laugh together when their schedules normally have them going in many directions. In this heartwarming book, she reveals an engaging text that reminds readers that they have gifts in their lives and helps them realize that life is about recognizing and appreciating the simple things that make them happy.

"My hope is that parents and teachers read "The Gift" out loud to children and have conversations about the true treasures that are most important in our lives," Darlene Farrace-Prott says. "Being a teacher myself, I know that educators can easily incorporate my book into their literacy classrooms. I would love for teachers to enjoy sharing it with their students for reading and writing inspirations and ideas. I hope that people of all ages read the book and understand the bigger message behind the words."

A vibrant and refreshing read, "The Gift" is a labor of love from the author's family members who created the illustrations and perfectly complimented the inspirational message throughout its pages.
