Clara Marie Mitchell, a passionate and well versed author, has completed her new book "Poems of Reflection: Faith, Life, and Travel": a gripping and potent book of poetry that is sure to inspire all who read it.

Clara Marie Mitchell has a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts Degree in English from DePaul University. She has taught English in the Chicago Public Schools and in the City Colleges of Chicago. She received a Mellon Fellowship from the University of Chicago where she attended numerous workshops on writing and cultural literacy.

Clara Marie has been interested in words and word usage since her earliest memory, arranging and rearranging them to convey an idea.

Her love of writing has taken her from the writing of poetry to experimenting with other genres such as short stories and children's literature.

Clara Marie draws from her experiences of being a world traveler and of being well-read. She is concerned about the condition of people and expresses the need for others to help elevate the human condition. She deals with social problems and often suggests ways of handling these problems, insisting there is a need to uplift and help one another. A small portion of the book deals with artists and the background of some of their works. There is mention of Michelangelo's work as well as Di Vinci's. Readers can also experience a gondola ride and a bullfight.
