ORANGE BEACH, Ala., Aug. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire-iReach/ Chantell Mayes Cooley has a story to tell. As a young girl in Mississippi, Chantell and her family travelled across the South following her entrepreneurial father as he worked to achieve the American dream. As the co-owner of Columbia Southern Education Group, Chantell wants to encourage others with her inspirational story of overcoming difficulty and achieving success.

"From a young age I knew I had a higher purpose. I can attribute that to my parents, Robert and Mimi Mayes, who told me I could do anything I set my mind to. No matter what was going on around us, they told me we would succeed one day and to keep faith until then," says Cooley.

That seems to have paid off for her. Chantell's family went on to found Columbia Southern Education Group, the umbrella company over Columbia Southern University and Waldorf University. The two schools boast over 62,000 students and alumni combined.

Chantell believes her purpose is to share her experiences with others and help them succeed as well. She is passionate about changing lives through higher education and is a tireless advocate for the continued education of adults. She speaks at various conferences and leads workshops on topics like balancing the roles of mother and CEO, developing young leaders and being a Christian in the corporate world.

But in her third book, coming out this month, Chantell shares a story that she has never told before. In Winning the Game of Life, Chantell shares her experiences as a young woman playing high school basketball. While sharing stories of her childhood and the lessons she learned on and off the court, she hopes to inspire people of all ages.

"I believe people of varying ages and life experiences can relate to the stories in this book. I think the lessons taught in sports can be applied to growing up, making and choosing friends and learning the ropes in the corporate field," Cooley states.

Those who have read Winning the Game of Life share similar thoughts. Dr. Marilyn Hickey, an American Christian minister and televangelist had rave reviews for the book. "I love Winning the Game of Life because it shows the importance of giving 100% and never giving up, no matter the circumstances." Also, in her foreword to the book Dr. Hickey affirms Cooley, "I've known Chantell Cooley for quite a while. Her potential is enormous, but she also has that rare ability to see the potential in others. If you doubt your potential, then read this book to find encouragement. Winning the Game of Life is nothing short of transformational. It will help you transform into the champion you already are on the inside. Pass it on."

The book is available to order on Chantell Cooley's website, ChantellMayesCooley.com.
