About the Author
Avis Noel got married at a young age and all her five children were born in less than 10 years. She experienced physical, emotional, psychological, and economical trauma in her marriage as well as political turmoil in her country of origin. After working on completing her high school education, she studied for her first degree in the late 1990s. She is a survivor of a domestic violence and chronic illness. She is a child, a mother, a daughter, a wife, a teacher, an immigrant, an academic, a survivor, and now an author.
