Author Xavier Killeen is not just inspired from his observations of what can be seen and measured, but also what can be felt and experienced. His new publication, Gods Gangsters, tells a story of the inner self that most of us lose touch with and the power of love to guide one in finding it again.

This book tells the life of a 16-year old African American Walter Butz, a drug dealer and a gang member. His parents' narrow religious views completely turned him off to a belief in God. When his clergyman father died, he was taken in by his brother-in-law who happens to be a gang leader and a drug dealer in Brooklyn. After being shot and wounded by rival gang members, he began to realize that there is deeper side to being human, a spiritual side that he needs to rediscover. With the help of a few guides along the way, he is able to alter his perception of reality, and in this truer light, change his life.

In this unforgettable journey, Walter along with Dan learned to trust their inner feelings. They are two unlikely people who are not living good lives, but somehow, they managed to turn it all around and change for the better. While most of us are trained to analyze and intellectualize all we know about life which is a good thing; it is not the only way. We forget to feel our way and trust our instincts, our spirit, especially when our minds are confused.

A heartwarming and truly motivating story, Gods Gangsters teaches the readers about love and compassion. It shows them that forgiveness is a strength that gives those who have committed mistakes in the past a chance to live a better life.
