About the Author: Andrew Parkin was educated in Birmingham, Cambridge, and Bristol. His military service was as a Russian linguist in Berlin during the Cold War. He has been a university professor in Canada and Hong Kong, and now divides his time between Paris and Vancouver, Canada. This is his 24th book and he is writing the sequel.
