Amy Flashman Releases HELL IN REZTA

Inspiration for Amy Flashman's new fiction, "Hell in Rezta" (published by AuthorHouse UK), came from her childhood dreams. One day, at age 14, she woke up and started writing. Writing was her escape from school, where she frequently encountered strange people and witnessed unusual events.

"Hell in Rezta" follows the posthumous journey of Shana Hale, who wakes up in a new world following her abrupt death. Shana ends up in the land of Retza, where she embarks on an adventure to save the world from Morphius, a dark and malignant creature bent on controlling Retza.

Throughout Shana's journey, she faces love, death, friendship and even magical powers that threaten to encapsulate her mind as she struggles through the afterlife.

"'Hell in Retza' shows that children in today's society are exposed to things they shouldn't be," Flashman says. "I was writing about war and death at 14 as though it were a lighthearted situation to be in. At the age when I wrote these scenes, it was made clear to me that war was commonplace and an early death was just another part of life that everyone had to expect. This was the message put out to me at 14, and though my character is a little older than that, she has to face war. And even as I wrote it and managed to kill off characters, I felt how bad it was that I could do it with such ease."
