Margie Walsh has just been let go from yet another job. Facing eviction and scrambling to keep a roof over her daughter's head, Margie thinks an old fling who has made it out of the neighborhood might be able to help her with a fresh new start...but will she turn the situation around? Witty and moving, The New York Post hails this play set in an old South Boston neighborhood as "poignant, brave and almost subversive in its focus on what it really means to be down on your luck." "Good People" garnered the 2011 New York Drama Critics' Circle Award and 2011 Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for Frances McDormand for her portrayal of the character Margie.

The cast for "Good People" includes Glen Ellyn's BRyan Burke* (Mike) and Amelia Barrett* (Margie), Park Forest's Annie Slivinski (Dottie); Lombard's Benedict L. Slabick II (Steve) and Chicago's Kelli Walker (Jean) and Raina Lynn (Kate).

The design team includes Downers Grove Connie Canaday Howard* (director); Lombard's Ron Leaneagh (set and lighting design), Wheaton's Gretchen Woodley (costume design), Chicago 's Chris Kriz (sound design) and Lombard's AnthonyLeyva (properties design). Stage Manager is Compton Hills' Scott Heckman.

BTE Company members and visiting artists are a vital part of both the college's educational mission and the fabric of the community through programming that includes producing a three-show season beginning with the 2016-2017 season, creating master classes for students, presenting demonstrations of theater arts, hosting performance talk backs and subscriber nights, and participating in community outreach.

Since 1986 BTE has staged more than 11 shows. In 2013, BTE went on hiatus, following the College of DuPage's decision to not house BTE. This past April, following a strong more than two year campaign by BTE supporters, the COD board reconsidered and BTE has returned for its 30th anniversary season as a 501(c)3 theatre. For more information about BTE visit BTEChicago.com.

BTE would like to thank the DuPage Foundation for their generous support in the reinstatement and continued operation of Buffalo Theatre Ensemble in its 30th anniversary season.

BTE also thanks the Norm Woodel Inspiration Fund for its assistance in the rebirth and further development of Buffalo Theatre Ensemble.
