Come with us on a journey into the Deep Dark Wood when The Gruffalo's Child begins her winter journey in the Playhouse, Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) from 29 September to 3 October 2015.

Adapted for the stage from the children's classic picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, by London's Award Winning Tall Stories Theatre Company, The Gruffalo's Child brings the captivating sequel to The Gruffalo to life in a magical performance that brings together physical theatre, music and puppetry for children aged 3 and above.

One wild and windy night the Gruffalo's Child, despite her father's warning, sets off into the Deep Dark Wood to find the Big Bad Mouse, the only thing her father is afraid of.

During her journey, she encounters the snake, owl and fox, each of whom she first suspects to be the "Big Bad Mouse". But the Big Bad Mouse doesn't really exist... does he?

The Gruffalo's Child received the W.H. Smith Children's Book of the Year award in 2005 and continues to inspire children around the world with its imaginative story and characters. This story captivates both the young and young at heart.

With its easily flowing rhyme and catchy original songs, The Gruffalo's Child encourages children to develop and deepen the way that they encounter and participate in live theatre and the world around them.
