Gifted Boston actress Amelia Broome doesn't so much portray as channel the gifted and notorious opera diva Maria Callas in Terrence McNally's Tony Award-winning play, Master Class, at the New Repertory Theatre in Watertown. In a truly remarkable and riveting performance, Broome is by turns commanding, touching, and terrifying as she assays one of the most triumphant and tragic figures of the art world. It's a must see.

In order to accommodate ticket holders affected by the Boston area lockdown on Friday, New Rep has added a "command performance" tonight at 7:30 p.m. New Rep is located in Watertown on Arsenal Street, which was ground zero of the Boston Marathon bomber manhunt.

The Box Office is open today, Sunday, April 21, till 6 p.m. Patrons wanting to exchange their Friday tickets for one of today's performances, or looking to purchase tickets for remaining available seats, should call the Box Office at 917-923-8487.
