Funny, a friend called me during AI tonight and asked me "Why do they have Joan Collins as one of the judges?"
My mom thought the exact same thing. She didn't catch the beginning, so when she came in, she was like "Hey! Is that Joan Collins?"
I felt like saying, "No, Mom. It's just her lame look-a-like."
[I'm joking, of course, I wouldn't ever call someone lame...]

Play nice--her step daughter who was quite close to her commited suicide last week. I thought she was, honestly, too good a judge for the staged "pre audition" segments
That doesn't make her look any less freaky, or less of a liar.

Am I alone in thinking that Carol looked great on AI? I was impressed. I thought she looked great. I don't think she looks like Joan Collins. Joan Collins says she has had no work done and after having seen LEGENDS, it is clear she hasn't. Carol looked refreshed and her skin looked great IMO.

Carols skin was tighter than a drum. I'm sure if she tried crossing her legs, her mouth would snap open.

I know her skin was tight, but she has had a good facelift, she looked smooth and youthful. I just think she needs to re-think the hair. That cotton ball look is not flattering. I've seen bad lifts before and here was clearly a well done surgery.

BTW -Tony Nominee becomes Tony winner through carelessness as well. I had a friend who was a nom but mentioned a a "winner" in a Cindy Adams column -- that someone used as reference when doing her bio for some out of town stuff - thus she became a WINNUH! And I saw Betty Buckley once referred to as a Tony Nominee in public and her back went up like a cobra.

We'll have to agree to disagree on that Bettyboy--I guess "good facelift" is a relative term. I don't think there's anything youthful about a person whose face doesn't move. I think most people who have extensive plastic surgery look plastic and sort of mummified.

I guess IMO some women look good a little pulled and wrinkle-less. I think facelifts just work better on some than others. I'm gay so I have a much different take than straight guys, most of whom I know abhor facelifts. I think Carol looks good. The cheese stands alone on this. Her lack of expression was a nice counter to Paula making every expression in the book and censoring nothing.

Munk, I mean look at the picture you posted. She looks pretty. I'd rethink the hair, but I think she looks good.

As I said before, I saw her at a party a few years ago and I almost pissed myself. It was frightening.
Even Joan Rivers. She looks bad on TV, but not frightening. In person, she looks like an absolute mutant.
Now, Carole doesn't look bad or ugly - no one ever said that. But I wouldn't go as far as to say that her facelife or whatever looks "pretty." She's a pretty woman, she will always be one - surgery or not.

I'm gay too and I hate the sort of Barbie Doll effect. All these women start to look the same. They have the same nose, the same lips. I really like Taylor Dayne but I don't like to see them do this to themselves. I also hate the lack of facial expressions--it's so Stepford.
