Does anyone know if Janeane Garofalo has been signing after the show?

A search of Instagram yielded no results of stage door photos, so take that for what it's worth

Janeane comes from stand-up, where fan interaction is more common (and sometimes more expected) than even theater. It could just be that this isn't the kind of show that draws a large stage door crowd. Also, at the Airlines, there are many way for people to exit (traditional stage door, front door, and several side exits).

What about Lily? Anyone able to shed light on her doing this? I'd still like to see this, but Lily is who I'm really gunning for at the SD.

Wow, there has to be a better way of phrasing this.

Really creepy phrasing there, JennH.

And THAT's why we can't have nice things!!

Ok, I'll do better in the future, my apologies, but since you all know what I meant, can the question be answered please?

The issue becomes guessing the correct exit.

Actors often leave the front of the American Airlines theater as often as they do the stage door.

I'd say get there early, look for the barricades, ask the staff. Also wouldn't hurt to look to see if there are any cars parked outside the exit with drivers. That's usually the best indicator.

I got the impression when I went a couple weeks ago that they typically do come out, but they didn't that night.  Luca Padovan and Jack DiFalco came out but at some point someone said something about a party going on after that night's show, so that may have had something to do with it.

There were maybe six of us at the stage door, and they left the barricades up for quite some time.  Eventually they came out and let us know no one else would be coming out - slightly before that, Celia Weston left from an alternate door and went straight to a waiting car so I guess one could infer that she doesn't typically do the whole stage door thing, though one night does not a pattern make.

Sunset pretty much hit the nail on the head. Stage dooring is always a hit or miss at the AA because of the alternate exits.

Thanks for all the advice, etc.  I'm seeing it tomorrow night - I've been a huge fan of Janeane Garofalo and Lily Taylor for 20 years and I'm geeking out a little bit about them being in this show.  :)

When I saw it, I went to the stage door but no one was there.  Not a single fan, just a guy who worked there who said, "You can wait, but I think everyone left."  It was a weird vibe, so I didn't wait it out.

I have to say, the American Airlines stage door has always been one of the best experiences for me. It's never ridiculously crowded, the crowd is usually under control without intervention, and there is so much space.

I've seen/stagedoored here for VIOLET, ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY, NOISES OFF, LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT, and THE PRICE.
