Euan Morton (who, if you don't know already, is the father of Iain Armitage) is apparently slated to play the King in Hamilton Broadway. I haven't seen a press release yet, but Iain announced it in a video on Facebook just a few minutes ago. I'm not sure how to link to a specific Facebook video, but here is a link to his public Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/IainLovesTheatre/?hc_ref=NEWSFEED&fref=nf)
Since two of Iain's favorite shows are Hedwig and Hamilton he must be so excited with his dad performing in them back to back. I wonder when Iain has to relocate to the West Coast to start taping Young Sheldon?
I saw John Cameron Mitchell, Neil P. Harris and Euan Morton as Hedwig. Morton was my favorite. Best overall combo of acting and singing. I doubt I'll get to see his King George, unfortunately, but I'm sure he'll nail it.

He was recently in HBO's "Big Little Lies" as the kid who got accused of being a bully and then he was cast as Young Sheldon. For many here his theatre reviews which you can find here
The cuteness factor in that video is off the charts! Loved it."
Cuteness factor? Am I the only one who finds this Iain kid to be irritating and over-the-top annoying? I generally find talented kids to be off-the-charts cute but I can't stand to watch this kid in anything.

I agree with MyLife. To paraphrase a certain flop musical that shares part of its title with him, what's cute at six is just annoying at nine.

I would guess it would be one of the swings who normally goes on for the role if needed. I know from social media that Andrew Chappelle and Thayne Jasperson have both done it, and I think I saw Neil Haskell in the costume once as well but that may have been a rehearsal.
I think for a full week Thayne and Andrew will split the week, 4 shows each, with Neil as a back up (that's what they did over previous King's vacation weeks).
I think under normal circumstances for call outs here and there, Thayne Jasperson is officially the first cover for the King. They try to save Andrew Chappelle since he is needed for covering every other male principal role and they have several swings who can cover Thayne's track. Of course, if they're short on male ensemble track swings then they will put Andrew on instead of Thayne/Neil.

I'm not going to lie, I thought the kid was kinda cute at first, then it got to be a little bit much as he got to be so popular. Then when it turned out he was an actor, that kind of took the fun out of it for me. Call me a curmudgeon - because I call myself that already - but then it just felt like self-promotion after that.
Also, Euan Morton has a wife?
