His name is Eric Petersen and he'll have just started, although Will Blum will probably be on for some of that weekend. And yeah, how much does it matter to you if you can't even name him?

Thanks jbradshaw-jersey was on my list to see it one more time before it closes, and also to get the bad taste out of my mouth from the last Jersey boys tour, which was horrendously miscast....
thank you others for your answers, however condescending....
i was thinking of course about alex brightman for school of rock of course but brain froze when typing because i saw him perform on tv and on a youtube bootleg, he got fantastic reviews, and I love the obc recording and he was fantastic. im sorry ill miss him in the role and thanks for letting me know hes done with his run.
i do care very much about and prefer seeing the scheduled leads vs understudies even if I don't know their names (which is rare since i typically do follow musicals very closely but not as closely as some of you "legends" because they are the ones the directors thought are best for the role, my personal experience is their performances tend to be superior to understudies for most of the shows where I've seen both in the same role.
I'm also only able with my schedule to go to NYC to see shows one week a year, and dont' have the luxury to go back if a lead calls out or is on vacation, hence the reason for this post and request for information from those of you who live in nyc and are more in the know about these types of things
