I just received a notice from Arena Stage that Kathleen Turner will be doing "The Year Of Magical Thinking". I saw Vanessa Redgrave on Broadway and she blew it away. Has anyone seen this on tour yet? I've seen her in several things and I like Kathleen Turner. I wonder if it is headed to Broadway?
This isn't a tour; it's a standalone production from Arena Stage. Performances begin October 7. I'm going to be in town for work at the end of the month and I'm hoping I can catch it, along with their production of CAROUSEL and FREAKY FRIDAY at Signature.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."
