I just saw this evening's performance of "Quietly" at the Irish Repertory Theatre and I was really impressed. The performances were wonderful and the taut energy that came over the theatre was gripping and made it impossible to look away.
If you have not seen this show, or if it's not at the top of your list, I highly recommend making it a theatre priority before it closes! Also, the refurbished Irish Rep is beautiful and very comfortable. Bravo to a wonderful theatre company!

SPOILERS? Maybe?

During the final moments of the show, the man next to me decided it was ok to speak to his companion full volume because both lead characters left the stage. I was not able to fully understand what the offstage crowd was cheering during the final moments.

Would someone be so kind as to PM with what the crowd was chanting. Am I right in believing it was what was said many times throughout the show? I'd just like to confirm.
Thanks!

we saw this Saturday (matinee, thank goodness) and we thought the crowd noise outside was a prelude to the "thump" (for lack of a better word) that ended the show.

With the explosion later in the day we thought it was a terrible example of art imitating life
