Shakespeare in Love NY transfer?

I was just told by someone pretty reliable that this is coming in next season from the UK. I don't like to believe rumors usually, has anyone else heard anything about this?

Well it's currently at the Stratford Festival, so depending on what you mean by "coming in" it's already here.

I don't believe there are Broadway plans right now, but not sure.

It'll be at Chicago Shakespeare Theater next spring too. Seems unlikely this would happen prior to a Broadway mounting.

On a recent trip to the Stratford Festival to see "Shakespeare in Love", I talked with a cast member who said that after the show finishes the Stratford run, it is to play the Oregon Shakespeare Theatre (February 18 2017 – October 29 2017), and then there is a hope of bringing it to Broadway in the spring of 2018. 

The show at Stratford production included the same creative team as the West End, but the Oregon and Chicago productions seem to have different directors for them.

as much as I would love to see this in NYC, I think the show and a commercial transfer to NYC are not in the immediate future.

It is also one of the shows for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland

There is also a different independent production of it that has been announced at the Utah Shakespeare Festival in the summer of 2017... The press release says it is one of three (Chicago and Oregon being the other two) festivals to get it... Not sure which production you would choose to transfer
