I caught the new Sally Field/Max Greenfield movie this morning and really enjoyed it. Field is giving a very fine performance and this was the first time I saw Greenfield as anyone other than Schmidt.

The story was sweet and touching without becoming cloying and Field's Doris was just the perfect degree of weird. The movie plays out like a one-sided rom com mixed with a Harold and Maude vibe from Greenfield's end.

A wonderful movie to see on a warm, spring-like day such as today.

Marie: Don't be in such a hurry about that pretty little chippy in Frisco. Tony: Eh, she's a no chip!

I watched this today.  It came out to Redbox on Tuesday.  I enjoyed it mostly.  Unfortunately I had to watch it in black and white.  While my tv plays color, the dvd is playing black and white.  My power went off while I was in Vegas, so I'm sure it has something to do  with that.  Anyway, while I was on Doris's delusional side for most of the movie, she didn't have my 100% sympathy.  She did some not so nice things in the movie.
