Hello! New to the boards here.....I am coming to London the first week of September 3/9/16-9/9/16 and I have begun my theatre research.

Currently I have tickets to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Not being fluent in the who's who of London theatre, I am trying to make the right choices.

I LOVE Bugsy Malone...is it worth seeing this production?

Macbeth or Midsummer at the Globe?

What production should I see at the National? Does the team for Threepenny make it worthwhile?

When will Donmar, Chocolate Factory announce their September 2016 productions?

Is there any gossip of what productions will be open then?

Sorry for the barrage! Thanks for the help!

Sorry to be mean, but in London we have Autumn.

I would suggest Threepenny Opera is going to be love it or hate it but certainly give it a shot!

Announcements for Chocolate Factory vary, depending on length and profile of the run.

Threepenny Opera has a great cast, so if the director doesn't mess up everything it should be fine at the very least. And, personally, I'd choose Macbeth.

In that period you can go to see Kenneth Branagh in The Entertainer, Funny Girl at the Savoy, Lady Day with Audra if you haven't seen it on Broadway (same for Alladin, if you like that kind of shows), Motown.

And then there's "The Play That Goes Wrong" which should still be destroying the Duchess Theatre in September - although perhaps with a new cast.

I believe The Play That Goes Wrong is planning on coming to New York next year - but, the Duchess is a pretty intimate theatre with a great box office.  But then if the original cast does transfer....

I don't know what will be at the Union, but if it hasn't moved across the street by September, you should consider a visit.  In your research, keep an eye out for what will be performing at the Almeida and the Hampstead.

The lay That Goes Wrong is definitely re-casting so should still be running later in the year.
