I know that broadway actors on Law and Order is nothing new. Hell, I'm always shocked when I read a playbill and there isn't a Law and Order credit in an actor's bio. Not sure if anyone else saw last night's very powerful episode? I've been watching SVU since the beginning, and only a handful of episodes have made me tear up...last night's was one. Danny Burnstein's emotional heft to a scene where he took the stand for the defense of his transgender's son's killer, was absolutely heartbreaking. I was lucky enough to see Danny in Follies, a great performance. But watching him in this, made me realize what this man will bring to his Tevye. Can not wait. Plus, it was great to see Rebecca Luker, play his wife.
Just finished watching, and wow! That episode was seriously powerful and thought provoking. Rebecca and Danny nailed it. Can't wait to see him in Fiddler.
They were both very good. I thought the Jefferson Mayes season opener was a little over the top and became a little dull but this episode was very well thought out.
