Sorry, Rob, the thread you started for people to catalog their message board issues - technical, not emotional - is no longer sticky and I'm not finding it via search.
Just wondering, anyone else having issues posting new threads and/or responding to existing threads when using Google Chrome? Now, when I attempt to start a new thread or respond to an existing one, the comment box - this blank white space I'm typing in right now - becomes... inactive. You can click your mouse inside, but no cursor appears and you cannot type anything. Whenever I get the itch to visit BWW, I have to temporarily switch over from Chrome to Firefox. This doesn't happen 100% of the time, but about 80% for me. It's been happening for about 2 weeks now on my end. I'm on Windows 8.1 (for now).
Yes, Chrome is up to date.
Yes, I've tried disabling all plug-ins/extensions.
Yes, I've tried signing in and out of my BWW account.
Yes, I've tried refreshing the browser, opening a new tab etc.
No, I'm not experiencing similar issues on any other websites.
I have been reading and posting from Chrome for more than a week now. I usually read/post in Internet Explorer and could not get the site to work there. I couldn't even read posts. (Broadwayworld is the only site to my knowledge that I was having difficulty with.) So to answer your question, HT, no.
I'm having struggles too...the same exact problems. The only way I'm typing now is because I went to preview on my blank post, and for some reason I was able to type then...
"I don't want the pretty lights to come and get me."-Homecoming 2005
"You can't pray away the gay."-Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy.

I get that a lot on Chrome (right now I'm typing this in the preview window because it wouldn't let me type it on the previous page), but I find the site practicually unusable on my phone and iPad with Safari.
Thanks for those that alerted me to this thread... We just switched to a different editor this morning that (from testing so far) doesn't seem to have the same periodic issue with Chrome. It should also be a bit better with auto-embedding YouTube videos, and in auto-linking copy/pasted links (without having to enter a space after them).
Rob, it's working great for me as well. Again, THANK YOU for being so responsive. Wishing you continued success! (Also, don't forget that depending upon your tax bracket and shoe size, my marriage offer still stands)
