When JCM said it will transfer there were some twitter rumours including Alan Cumming (though he's also rumoured for the Broadway one) and Will Young.
I'd personally love to see Ian Stroughair who played Angel in the recent RENT tour. He's definitely got the voice for it! But I'm not sure if they'll follow the Broadway lead and go for someone really well known.
Will Young, although probably not the worst person they could choose, in my opinion is just not Hedwig.
I vote someone a little more raw, or a daring risk, like Daniel Radcliffe. Or you know...John Cameron Mitchell would do nicely
Now that the show has announced its Broadway closure, how does this affect the chances of this coming over, if at all?

I actually would really love to see that, too. He's a terrific actor, and in terms of his vocal abilities, would it be fair to say he's on par with Darren Criss? It'd be a ton of fun to see him show yet another side of his talent as a performer, and he'd sell a ton of tickets.
My first choice, though, would be Alan Cumming. I'd be on the first flight across the Atlantic to see that.
