Let's not blow this out of proportion, this is not a big deal at all. This chart just means that it sold the most out of any cast recording. Finding Neverland will most likely be #1 next week and then Wicked and BoM will continue to be neck-and-neck.

Talk about Debbie Downer. There is always someone ready to kill someones buzz.
I noticed that, too, icecreambenjamin! Is that possible? Or perhaps retailers like Barnes and Noble and Best Buy, etc. still have them in stock? I have a digital copy, but wanted a physical copy as well.
It means they underestimated the number of copies they would sell with the physical release, so now they have to order a new pressing, which takes time.
It really is an excellent album. I wish more of the crucial dialogue had been recorded (weird to have ANY if the terms of Claire's agreement is not clear), but the songs sound excellent.
My copy finally arrived yesterday from Amazon and it is to die for. The booklet has all the lyrics and a full synopsis, and I agree with icecreambenjamin, I think i may be the best recording of last season. Some people say it's a "second-rate" Kander and Ebb score, but I think it's their best score since The Rink, although Kiss of the Spider-Woman has its moments (I personally love the score of The Rink, Liza and Chita together? Heaven.) The ensemble does terrific work and the orchestra is lush. A fantastic job to all involved.
"Contentment, it seems, simply happens. It appears accompanied by no bravos and no tears."
"Yellow Shoes" has been stuck in my head all. Freaking. Week. Also, really concentrating on the lyrics to "Love and Love Alone," as opposed to focusing on the whole scene when I was at the show- I have decided even more how gorgeous a song it is. Viva Chita.
I am beyond thrilled to have heard that this cast recording is number one on the billboard. Just recieved this week my cd of The Vist from Amazon and have not stopped listening to it since its arrival. Kudos to everybody involved in this long awaited production. It is a beautiful score to relish. It sits right now next to my CDs of The Scottsboro Boys, Bridges of Madison County, Sunday in the Park with George, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Chicago BUT with Revera and Verdon, and the original Rag Time. I want all of them to be playing at my wake!!
Kander and Ebb are one of the major artistic inspirations for the show I'm writing. This show was like a shot in the arm when my inspiration was flagging.
