Play reading for actors only
In order to familiarize local actors with lesser-known works to be presented at Pasadena Little Theatre during their upcoming 2015-2016 season, the theatre will be holding readings of two plays prior to auditions. The upcoming plays to be read will be Edward Albee’s Everything in the Garden and Joan Vail Thorne’s The Exact Center of the Universe.
On August 8, at 1:00pm actors are invited to attend, participate in, and listen to a reading of Edward Albee’s Everything in the Garden. As pertinent today as when it was first produced on Broadway in its 1967 successful run, the brilliant, satirical, biting play blends humor, irony and suspense in its scathing examinations of contemporary suburban mores and chasing the American dream. "...the first important American play of the season." -- NY Post.
Characters needed include 5 men and 5 women ranging in age from mid-30’s to mid-50’s, and one teenaged boy 14-15 years of age.
The director will not be in attendance as this is to familiarize actors prior to auditions and not intended in any form to pre-determine casting. The event is free to all and a polite response regarding attendance and/or participation is requested. Please reply to gregbrown526@hotmail.com or 713-941-1758. We are also on Facebook at Pasadena Little Theatre.
