I just heard about www.consenttheplay.com It explores the depths of what it really means to consent, and to explore one's sexual boundaries.
It hasn't started yet although Information and reviews are available as well as tickets! I highly recommend Everyone check out and give some feedback below!
If you really care about the community you would understand and support individual project like this. Im not telling you about the Nutcracker, im sharing something that I am sure you would otherwise have never heard of if not for a forum like this, who in fact supports the play!
If you want to shill then don't come here under the guise of just being some random person talking about the show. You even said "I just heard about www.consenttheplay.com" as if you were attached to the show.
"Pardon my prior Mcfee slip. I know how to spell her name. I just don't know how to type it." -Talulah
Read several reviews. Won't see this because "sex fueled" (as great as sex fueled can be) is best left for the internet. But romance can be a great turn on in the theater.
I'm shocked that dosiedoe and youknowyouwantto (who are definitely not the same person or involved with this show) haven't returned with their reviews. I'll help out with a roundup:
"Strained... suffocating... wears its ideas on its sleeve, yet that sleeve is repeatedly beating you over the head." — Entertainment Weekly
"Brainless... fiasco... So badly staged with forced performances and written in such a puerile manner that it becomes insultingly bad." — On Stage
"Unsophisticated in its content and woeful in its writing." — New Jersey Newsroom
"If this is supposed to be a real play, it's a terrible one." — Talkin' Broadway
Truly terriible and reinforces the stereotypical view of homosexuals as unstable and self-centered. Rhodes wife opened the closet door for him but they haven't had sex in fifteen years he mentions in an interview. Some things are better left unsaid. This is NOT a roundabout production. Don't be fooled.
