She's a great lady. I wish she'd get to play a role to match the magic she made in PIAZZA. But heck, she can even take the most second-rate R&H tune ("There's Music in You" in the last CINDERELLA on B'way) and turn it into a religious experience.
She is gracious and considerate of the feelings of other cast members. I agree that someone's collective body of work has to influence the Tony nominators, especially when it is superb.
I agree with what she said about Corey Cott's performance. I went around singing "Gigi" to myself for a week after I heard him sing it and it was brilliantly rendered. He also was deserving of a Tony nom.
I'm shocked that he didn't get nominated too, and I think the show also deserved a nomination for best revival.

Clark is truly a classy woman. I'm surprised that she's the only nominee in the entire production as well, I was thinking maybe some design nominations here and there. It would be strange if she pulled a Julie Andrews and denied her nomination to join the "egregiously overlooked".
