Truly unbelievable.  This woman has to be psychotic.  It takes a butt-load of training to become a veterinarian.  Hope this bobblehead enjoyed her career while it lasted.

What an arrogant woman she is -- vet of the year?  Hardly.  Word is the cat was NOT feral but a pet.  Sure hope she gets her license to practice vet medicine revoked!

This cat belonged to an elderly couple, and this disgusting individual took it upon herself to randomly shoot a cat, and post it on social media.  Feral cats can live in cat colonies and be completely non threatening to the community anyway.  A goddamn Veterinarian who called herself "awesome" for doing that.  She should be fired, arrested for animal cruelty, go to jail and stripped of her license.

f*ck HER.

I don't think she will find work again. What veterinary clinic would hire her? She is a fool! As hard and expensive as it is to become a vet, she throws it all away on this narcissistic stunt. I hear they are hiring at Walmart!

The cat in the pic with that woman looks so much like a cat I adopted last year who my son found wandering the streets of Bridgeport, CT. Hobbes, below, has turned out to be the BEST cat. Fun, loving, happy to have a roof over his head. I can't imagine what that woman would have done to him. Unconscionable.

It really is nuts.  Just what did she think the outcome of all this was going to be??

Considering her comment about Vet of the year, I'm guessing she expected to get some kind of award for killing a "feral cat."  Texas Vet Kills Cat With Bow and Arrow

So sick and disturbing. This woman better never be allowed near an animal ever again. And this better follow her for life if she thinks she can try to get a license in another state.

I know I have mentioned that I do work with an animal rescue group. I encounter all kinds of cats there because animal control brings some in. I know the killed cat here is not ferel, but they aren't evil and bad. We have had a few that just don't adjust to being a nice pet. But, we spay or neuter them and release them again. Usually someone will bring it to their home so they can possibly see the cat regularly to make sure it is doing well. I know people have also taken some to live on farms to be barn cats.

You're so right about feral cats Marianne. My neighbor, an elderly woman who died 10 years ago, used to feed a bunch of feral cats in her backyard, which opened into woods. Twice a day, she'd go out and pour dry food into a long wooden tray. It appeared nothing was there. But once the bag started to rustle, a dozen little heads started popping out from the woods. The cats waited till she went inside then ate the food and disappeared again into the woods. They were truly feral but didn't bother a soul.

Feral cats can certainly be a nuisance in some communities, but hardly one that merits death by bow and arrow. You'd think the greatest veterinarian would be more an advocate of the humane spay/neuter-and-release program.

And the cat wasn't even feral, so she murdered a domestic pet. That is a violation of property rights (toward the owners). Even if it wasn't as inhumane and cruel as this, it would still be a violation of the law. She will be charged.
