Such a last minute massive rush of PR for this show. The "love" in this featurette is nauseating. Notice how Paulus lets us know how great it is to have Matthew "back."
I do believe they really like each other and are having a great time. But the way the point is being pushed so hard in this PR blitz? It's nauseating.
I dislike the way Gary Barlow gets mentioned and praised SO MUCH more than Eliot Kennedy. Yes, Barlow is wicked famous, but the two are co-composers. They wrote the songs together. They are still writing the songs together.
In one of the vids (not the most recent one), Borrison said that he had long wanted to come back to Bway, so it was just a question of which show. Made it sound like he could do any show he selected. Who knows, maybe that's true.
To me, the part that's icky is the *frequency* of the PR. They're releasing headlines for pen doodles. It just feels very forced and frenetic. (I love the show, btw, or at least the Camb version.)
Pat Cerasaro does that for social media for EVERY show or movie that comes out. Remember how often he posted simple instagram pics of the Into The Woods movie?
And besides, Weinstein does the same aggressive PR on his movies.
I still like the show a lot personally. It's gonna take more than cast switch-ups and key changes to put me off.
Butters, go buy World of Warcraft, install it on your computer, and join the online sensation before we all murder you.

ATTENTION FANS: I will be played by James Barbour in the upcoming musical, "BroadwayWorld: The Musical."
Mattbrain, I actually didn't know that pen doodle PR releases (or other things of that size) were standard. So maybe it's just my ignorance here about that -- maybe this recent push is normal and I'm just paying more attention this time. That's fair.
And as much as I bitch about it, I'm still eating up every single FN ensemble dance pic, so. :)
