The London Theatre Workshop is to present the UK Premiere of Drew Fornarola and Scott Elmegreen's off-Broadway political romp VOTE FOR ME: A MUSICAL DEBATE
5-23 May 2015
Tues-Sat @ 7.45pm
Sat & Sun matinee @ 3pm
VOTE FOR ME is a musicalized Presidential debate where you pick the winner. Candidates dance and sing their way through the three-ring circus of American politics, and audiences cast their votes to help determine the outcome of the show. The musical was commissioned by Robyn Goodman, the producer of Avenue Q, and penned by Drew Fornarola and Scott Elmegreen, who sought to create a heightened satire of American life that spoke to the state of their culture - in their case American political culture - at its best and its worst.

The cast for Vote for Me has been announced!
The show will star Emily Lynne (recently She Loves Me, Landor), Hans Rye (A Spectacular Night of Queen, Tour), Arvid Larsen (Closer Than Ever, Jermyn Street), Joe Leather (currently in Time of My Life, Tabard), Lucy Grainger (50 Shades of Grey; The Original Musical Parody, Edinburgh), and Jennie Jacobs (The Rudy Vees, comedy cabaret).

US-composer Drew Fornarola and US-writer Scott Elmegreen will be coming to the UK to see the premiere of their musical. Whilst here, they will be holding a musical theatre masterclass open to performers and composers. Details coming to the London Theatre Workshop page soon! Drew Fornarola and Scott Elmegreen will ALSO be doing a concertof their songs on the 17th May at 6.00pm!
Their music will feature performances from West End star Rebecca Trehearn (City of Angels, Dogfight, Ghost), Ceili O'Connor (The Wizard of Oz, The Fantasticks), Tom Kay (American Psycho) and Jill Rensing (Les Miserables).
There IS a Sunday matinee of Vote for Me: A Musical Debate at 3pm on the day. Tickets are £15/12 (concessions) with a special at-the-door Equity rate at £10!
