Hi, we will be in New York for a theatre trip in early July and I wanted to ask if anyone has any advice for watching the Macy's July 4th fireworks? A location, event, etc ... either a free place that is great to see the fireworks or a paid event.
I was thinking about one of the river cruises, has anyone taken one of them for July 4th? They are expensive since it is a holiday, and I wouldn't want to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars if it is crowded and unpleasant. Thank you for any advice or suggestions.
Have they disclosed which River this years fireworks will take place? If it is on the EAST River, screw a cruise, venture to Brooklyn Bridge park and see them from there. Plenty of space in the beautiful new park and you can almost touch them you are so close. Plus, before they start, you can watch the displays in Jersey across the Harbor. Plus the ones they set off from the Brooklyn Bridge it's self are truly awe inspiring!
Those Blocked: SueStorm. N2N Nate. Good riddence to stupid! Rad-Z, shill begone!
Thank you snafu, they have not announced which river yet as far as I know. It was 5 years on the Hudson and then last year on the east river so maybe they have a 5 year contract with 4 more years on the east river?
If we decide to venture to Brooklyn does anyone have any restaurant recommendations in Brooklyn? We love Italian food but like many others things too. Thanks again.
