So should have known coming on that strong on Day 1 was going to be a recipe for disaster.

I'm surprised she didn't use the idol. Would have sucked to go home on DAY ONE with an idol in your pocket.

I was skeptical about the concept when they announced it and that premiere confirmed by fears. The casting focuses so heavily on negative stereotypes and conflict, the concept becomes completely negated, regardless how the contestants are aggressively coached to talk about it in personal interviews. And boy, did they stack the deck with douchebags. "Why would white collars know how to make a fire? We just pay blue collars to do it for us." Because white collar means filthy rich and blue collar means poor servants! DUH! White collars are greedy and ruthless! Blue collars are bullish and stupid! No collars are crazy hippies! This is going to be a rough season to watch.

At least it ended on a happy note with So's exit. God, she was dumb. A "neutral" box? On Survivor?!?! Naming off the members of your Day One alliance at the first tribal? And what was her big defense? She's strong at challenges! Well, she was quick at untying knots! At least, it seemed so! There was nobody else to compare her with. And they didn't have other challenges. So basically, she SEEMED strong at ONE SPECIFIC thing. So, it would make sense Joaquin would just ride that wave all the way through...that day. It's no wonder they couldn't find the idol.

Hoping beard guy or Joaquin leave next. Beard guy is almost hot, but the novelty beard and his personality just obliterate anything attractive about him. And I'm hoping idiot feather guy either gets a MAJOR reality check or goes home, either voted off or quitting. The way he aggressively confronted that girl in such a crazy jealous manner, I don't know how she didn't burst out laughing in his face. He's that Dragonslayer brand of delusional cray-cray.

More schadenfreude needs to kick in to make this season worthwhile. I'm tired of Probst getting his rocks off on obvious kooks and @ssholes.

I wish Jeff would just refer to the tribes as Blue, White, or None. I wanna laugh every time he yells out "No collar!"

Last week's episode was INTENSE. Best episode in years. Kudos to the editing team for a unique way to share the episode, too. Many great choices to break the traditional edit in favor of showcasing these many dramatic moments.

Kudos also to the writers for giving us a brand new advantage: an extra vote at tribal council. Brilliant.

I loathe Will. He is cruel and a hypocrite.

i applaud Matt for his attempts, unfortunately the 6 wonuldnt break. I actually like Tyler and some of the others. I know they are being seen as villains due to their association with Will, Sidney, and the idiot Dan. But the rest are decent people.

"I wish Jeff would just refer to the tribes as Blue, White, or None. I wanna laugh every time he yells out "No collar!""

I wish he'd stop referring to them at all. They were only tribes for 2 or 3 tribal councils.

Stupid gimmick.

Not a big fan of this season.  The only interesting thing to happen was Will making himself look worse, which I didn't think was possible.  I don't really care for the extra vote advantage (especially since it went to Dan).  The producers are getting desperate for new twists and they aren't necessary.  Or perhaps they realized what a dud this season is and are trying to generate something interesting.  The whole "collar" thing is a big dud.  They should have learned from the racial tribes years ago that the demographic separations never go well because they stack the deck with stereotypes and then abandon the concept  early on.

^ agree.

I was sorry to see Joe voted off.   He kept it interesting for me.

I loathe Shirin. But, then, it's been edited to make us feel that way.

There are a few interesting players left, but, I don't know if I can take another minute of Rodney.

Still, as with all seasons since the beginning, I'm in. I'm watching.

Devoted Survivor fan here, so I'll always watch every episode.  I think the producers were counting on Rodney to be the new Hantz replacement, but I actually think Dan is even worse.  He's such a freaking drama queen every time he speaks and his blatant misogyny is nauseating.  Shirin was defnitely made out to be the most annoying of the pack, but the editing did a 180 in her favor this last week by making her the victim.  I actually did feel sorry for her as the editing did not show anyone acknowledging that 1) she was not the sole participant in her theory 2) her theory was a perfectly reasonable speculation given the information they had and 3) Will's reaction was COMPLETELY out of proportion, not to mention wildly hypocritical from a "man of God".  His behavior crossed a line and it really sorta sucked to see everyone remain silent on it (as far as we know), leaving Shirin out to dry.  Even Probst was stunned.  Her alliance has been decimated, but kick her while she's down just for fun?  I don't think she deserved that amount of cruelty.

What an epic episode. Dan is probably the dumbest person EVER on Survivor. Tyler will, I suspect, take the attention off him.

1.  Congratulations, Mike.

2.  I'm really not enjoying Jeff trying to be the psychologist with Dan during the post-show.  It's not sitting well with me.  Not that the topic isn't fair, but, enough!

3.  I'm surprised Carolyn didn't win.  Based on the editing of the Q&A at the final tribal.

4.  I love this show.  Always have.  Always will.

I'm surprised Jeff mentioned Kelly only lost by one vote in season one.  The mythology in the years that have followed imply that Richard Hatch's win was inevitable and pre-ordained and not simply because he picked the right number when Greg asked him to pick a number.

I've watched 2/3 to 3/4 of the seasons, but some of these people who are coming back I don't remember at all!

I've watched every season except for the last one that Russell was on, in protest, and I couldn't remember most of those people. Kelly has had some "work" done!

I disliked Mike, but he deserved to win.

Dan's eye rolling was out of control! Loathesome!

This was an awful season. I'm sorry, but it was. There was no strategy, everyone likable was voted out early and we were left with...nothing. Mike winning was good, I suppose. He was the only one left in the group who I think deserved to win (Someone actually wasted their vote on Will?!?!) for just being a physically strong player. But after winning, him thanking Jesus right away just made me turn off the TV and say "goodnight". I'll finish the reunion at some point today just to see who will be on next season, but thanking "Jesus" for helping you win a million dollars on a reality game show just makes you look like a douche, and someone I now no longer care to even look at.

Seriously, this season was a waste.

Kelly looks like Kelly with botox.  Whether that's worse or better is in the de-wrinkled eye of the expressionless beholder, I guess.  I'm just thrilled to see her back (though I've a feeling she's not going to last long).

I loved the Probst smackdown of Dan.  Dan must have been talking a LOT to the press for Probst to take it as far as showing us raw footage to expose him as a sack of sh*t lying douchebag.  Though we all pretty much knew that anyway.  And I absolutely LOVED how Shirin handled herself regarding Will.  That man is disgusting (and his wife seems to be of similar character).  The way he "apologized" and immediately tried to corner her and demonize her into forgiving him was even worse than Dan's antics.  I'm really excited Shirin's playing again.  Voting her out was one of the dumbest moves in a season overflowing with knuckleheaded stupidity.

I thought the vote would be a lot closer and even believed Carolyn had an edge after that jury Q&A.  But I guess when Dan had to make it all about DAN rather than the three finalists, perhaps that had some weird effect on people?  I don't know.  Mike was pretty deserving considering how long his back was against the wall.  I just got tired of all the 'Merica nonsense, blue collar bullsh*t and Jesus preaching.  But I would love to hear Jesus' take on the season.  Who would Jesus vote?

Boy, these contestants next season are a real flashback.  I remember most of those chosen to participate, but there were a lot of women to choose from I could not remember at all (people remembered Monica Padilla?  HOW?).  Some, like Kimmi and Jeff Varner, I remember their faces, but not their personalities or how they played the game.  I excited to see Andrew Savage, Terry Deitz, Ciera Eastin, Kass McQuillan (I love her tagline on the EW article: "What will you do differently this time around? Win."), Woo Hwang, Joe Anglim, but mostly TASHA FOX!!!!  YES!!!!!!

I can't believe Abi is returning.  WHY?  And Keith?  Ugh.
