Coming in February and have time for ONE show. Have seen pretty much everything that has transferred to/from New York. Narrowed down to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Miss Saigon, Shakespeare in Love and Assassins (if I can get a ticket). Thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much.

SAIGON or ASSASSINS!

the other two are fine but these two are unmissable. Assassins more so but as tickets are tricky Miss Saigon is a safe bet for tickets and is a brilliant show.

Yes, definitely Miss Saigon or Assassins. Charlie has a Broadway transfer in the works, and I would expect Shakespeare In Love to appear across the pond.

Saigon isn't selling massively well, and will be discounting till 13th of Feb via Get Into London Theatre (http://www.getintolondontheatre.co.uk/), selling on there from December 9th.

I think Assassins would be better, as I am sure Miss Saigon will be around for another year or so. But it depends if you want to go for something classic in Saigon, or something a little bit different in Assassins.

Thanks for the input. I saw the 2004 Roundabout production of Assassins, which I loved. Any suggestions for tickets? I'll be seeing the evening show on February 14th. And is the Menier easy to get to via public transportation?

The 14th is v. limited. I'd go for E8 and E9. Should get a pretty great view from there.

And yes, public transport is very easy. It is 5 min walk from London Bridge underground station, which is on the Jubilee Line and the Bank Branch of the Northern Line.
