The St James holds the front row for rush tickets, after that they sell side orchestra. Last Thursday I got in line at 8am was 2nd in line and there were about 15 people in line at 10am. This past Tuesday I went by the box office at 2pm and bought a rush seat as well.
Without bread we'd just be hungry
but without theatre we'd be dead
I did rush last Thursday, the 30th, and got A 114 (aisle) at around 10:45 am. The guys next to me said they got in line around 9, and that the people behind them in line got tickets too, so I assume they got side orchestra and that I got A 114 after because it was a single seat left.
How high is the stage? Can you see the stage floor from the front row rush seats? And how tall are you all? I'm 4'11" so front-row rush is usually pretty rough for me to see anything below the thigh.
I'm about 5'10, and I could see the actors' shoes, and everything that happened upstage. You might not be able to see the actors' shoes, but you should be fine with everything else.
I just wanted to confirm, does the box office open at 12 pm on Sundays? The website says rush tickets start selling at 10 am on show days, so I wanted to check. I'm debating whether I should rush this this Sunday or go buy the Last Ship cast recording between 11:30-12 to get a chance at getting Sting's autograph in the afternoon... Ahhh, choices choices choices. Also, any ideas when I should line up for rush on Sundays to be safe? Any info would be much appreciated!
