Why would you ask a question for which there will be no consensus?
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
Obviously there is no 100% consensus, but I would recommend YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU, THE FATAL WEAKNESS, for new shows and CHICAGO, A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER, and CABARET for the older shows.
Anything regarding shows stated by this account is an attempt to convey opinion and not fact.
The best show I ever saw was the gentleman working the ticket booth at Les Mis trying to "politely" explain to a possible ticket purchaser why he could not open the theater early so she could try out the possible seat choices she was considering buying tickets for. The lady was like a dog with a bone.. it was priceless.
In a weekend that included CURIOUS INCIDENT and YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU, our vote far and away is for ON THE TOWN. That's the show you'll kick yourself if you miss.
Im not sure how these shows are doing now, but i LOVED Hedwig and Beautiful from last season. Haven't seen anything from this season yet since I'm in college
