Sound of Music tour prior to West End

Bill Kenwright will tour THE SOUND OF MUSIC, based on 2013's Open Air's production, next year prior to a hoped for West End transfer.

Sound of Music will start in Sheffield.

I'd be surprised if The Sound of Music ends up transferring but then again Evita ended up at the Dominion. Maybe if one of the medium sized theatres become available next year, it might has a chance.

It's been on sale for a while but doesn't say what production it will be, pleased to hear it will be based on the Open Airs production. I just want to know the cast before I book

I'm seeing it at New Wimbledon Theatre early next year. I hope its good..but although I love the film not sure it will do well in the current west end situation.. =/

The Sound of Music is opening at the Mayflower in Southampton on 21 January - no idea of cast yet?
