Two new pictures of the film to be premiered in November have been released. Not too difficult to guess what's happening here:

The Imitation Game

Branson is obviously wondering why that doesn't look like the housemaid's typewriter at Downton.

Not so sure what's happening here as no plods in 1950's Manchester would be dressed like that:

Bizarre!

They're still there for me.

We need Alan Turing to solve this problem(!)

Here they are.

The Imitation Game

Cheers for posting Scripps. I was there for that second photo - it's a scene with the "Bombe" machine I'd helped build for the film. It's the set for Hut 11, Bletchley Park in 1941.
Hope you enjoy it when it's released

I'm pleased you helped make the bombes and not the costumes UKpuppetboy.

Those red caps look very bizarre - are the Military Police Roman Catholic?

Maybe they'd heard it was raining that day! I'll pass on your comments to Wardrobe at the crew screening. Though I can tell you now what their response is likely to be...

Actually they're the RMP ("Red Caps")

So have they condensed the reality to take place entirely during WWII?

Let me guess - he gets arrested before the war is over, fails to break the code and the Allies lose the war?!

No this scene was all to do with the the code cracking effort (1941) but I obviously can't say any more. Judging by how well researched Benedict Cumberbatch was chatting on set I'm sure you wont be disappointed

"I obviously can't say any more."

Of course you can. Sit down and put your feet up. I'm just about to open that rare bottle of Scotch I inherited. Shall I pour two glasses?

Now why does he get arrested by the RMP in 1941?

Trailer now released.

I like some of the visual imagery and it answers my question above but I'm a little disappointed with this.

But it does at least make me warm to Benedict Cumberbatch in the role.
